My Project
My students are AMAZING! They are very creative and fun! I would love for our class to have the Cricut machine so students can create signs and other projects that look professionally done. My goal is to offer these opportunities for my students to create innovative art projects and develop skills that will benefit them now and even in the future.
There are 4 classes in our grade level and we share one very old Cricut machine that would slowly cut over 200 borders and frames for our ornaments.
Every year during Christmas, our 5th grade classes make picture ornaments to give as gifts to their families using this old machine. It is very time consuming. So, having another machine and a newer model will help speed the process of this project.
With the Cricut, there are endless possibilities of what my students and I can do besides using markers, cardstocks and scissors. They will learn how to operate the machine. As a class we will make large vinyl decals to post positive sayings or words on our walls. We can make stickers, tags, and labels to help organize our classroom. I would also want for our class to make cute wooden bookmarks to give as gifts to our "classroom buddies" in the 1st grade.
The Cricut machine will provide this chance for students to learn new ways to do ART!
