Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students of my amazing 6th grade English Language Arts class are just that "amazing" in so many ways. These students have a thirst for knowledge and giving them the tools to quench this thirst is an essential part of our day.

Without this innate desire to learn tethered with continued enrichment and rigorous curriculum these students would not feel the success that they experience daily in our class.

Challenging them and inspiring them to question the world around them is one way that the youthful 6th grade students students of our class continue to stay engaged and encouraged.

My Project

While we have started flexible seating in my classroom this couch is going to be the focal point of our new LATIC (Learner Active Technology Infused Classroom) where the kids are able to get comfy and take ownership of their learning and self-driven with infusing technology even more into our classroom.

The LATIC classroom requires a lot of choice of on the students behalf and the organizational pieces just help to offer more options and incorporate more decision-making into the lessons the students are choosing.

This new learning style helps students to make learning their own and be so incredibly practical.
