I teach a close-knit group and kind group of third and fourth graders! Each day, my students walk into our classroom full of life and ready to learn. They are truly what inspires me to be the best teacher that I can be! They are energetic, have a love of learning, and love to be creative! My students are always eager to challenge themselves and to learn new things!
When my students enter our classroom, they know they are loved and that they are safe.
Our classroom is a place where my students can be confident in their abilities and potential. My students know that it is okay to take risks and make mistakes because mistakes are how we learn! Our motto is: Learn, Excel, Succeed, Challenge Yourself!
One of my goals as a teacher is for my students to know themselves as a learner, which includes knowing where and how they work best. When students are working in an area that is comfortable, they are better able to focus on the task at hand and do their best work. The surf seats that I requested in this project will allow for my students to work comfortably on the floor.
The surf seats not only provide a seat, but also a hard surface for students to use to write or place their materials on.
These seats are portable, so my students will be able to move them to an area of the classroom that allows them to focus independently or to work collaboratively with their peers. Providing my students with surf seats will empower them to do their best thinking and their best work.
