Welcome to Mrs. McLain's class of wonderful learners! I serve a population of 4-year-old Kindergarteners through 4th graders who have disabilities! In our room, we work on academic skills but also learn how to name our feelings and the goal is to learn how to self-regulate.
The goal of this project is to provide items in a safe space to allow our students to practice and perfect their calming strategies.
Some ways we can do that will be to take deep breaths in the bean bag chairs, use the sensory items to relax, and, if needed, use the sensory stickers in our learning spaces to continue remaining calm while learning!
