Help me give my students the Blocks and Blueprints Learning Center to guide and enhance their engineering skills! Using these blocks, along with the vibrant construction paper can make any project happier and colorful for my students!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students are eager, energetic, and enthusiastic learners. My class is primarily composed of second language learners who love math, singing, art, reading, writing, learning about robotics, and experimenting with science. We have so much to learn and love in Kindergarten!
All of the students in my class have many learning modalities and one thing that unifies them is that they work best in small group centers.
We love to use hands-on materials and explore all academic subjects in a small group setting.
My Project
Starting as early as kindergarten, students can begin to design buildings and construct real life models of houses or classrooms.
As I use small groups for Math, I would love to have students use the Blocks and Building Center as a center for students to use their little hands and brains for engineering.
The magnets will help enforce the letter of the week, words on the white board, letters in their names, and nonsense word fluency!!! Students can use the magnets in a small group or with the teacher to implement words, letter recognition and letter sound correspondence.
The possibilities are endless for the color construction paper in Kindergarten because students can cut, glue, design, and create in all academic areas. Students cut out the letters in order to spell out the high frequency words which promotes creativity for our little ones.
