My Project
Our classroom would like to make learning to write fun and exciting and create a transfer of spelling to their reading and writing. We want the Boogie Boards to be used in our reading, writing, and benchmark phonics program to eliminate the need for additional supplies like erasers, whiteboards, and dry-erase markers. I have seen these boards in action in other classrooms, and the benefits for children and their excitement about using them.
The boards and styluses from Boogie Board are ergonomically designed, so they're easy for students' hands to hold.
If you've spent time with a student who gets frustrated when they want to start from scratch, a simple press of the erase button will clear the board so students can start fresh.
We would use these every day with our Language and Writing Workshop, but especially in our Benchmark Phonics program that we do every day to help learn vowels, consonants, syllable types, and how words work. This program is an integral part of understanding how the words are spelled.
