My students need equipment for PE. With the Lakeshore Activity Playkit, they will have hula hoops, beanbags and a variety balls for various organized games as well as cones that we can use for bases.

My Students
My students attend school in Los Angeles, California. We serve a variety of students in grades TK-5th. We are a Title 1 school, which means many students at our school qualify for free or reduced lunch. My students are from many diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and are always eager to learn!
We are environmental activists!
Alongside learning to read and write, we learn about the world around us and how we can preserve the beauty of our environment on a daily basis.
We love to work together and engage in many hands on activities that make learning come to life every day in our classroom.
Most of all, we believe in ourselves!
My Project
California has specific standards for physical education. We teach PE every day. I often have to come up with creative ways to teach the standards due to not having enough equipment (handballs, cones to use as bases, jump ropes) to teach the standards or for all students to participate at once. With this equipment, I will be more prepared to teach students the standards and have them all engaged at the same time. We will also be able to learn more organized games, such as kickball and foursquare, with enough proper equipment to support these games that students really enjoy. They will also have better knowledge of how to play these games on their own which will lead to students being more physically active and engaged during recess time as well.
