This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Pickleball is one the the fastest growing sports in our country! Our third through fifth graders deserve the opportunity to learn this fun and active sport.

Pickleball requires teamwork and communication with teammates, which are essential skills for our students to learn.

It also helps develop hand-eye coordination, agility, and footwork, which are important physical skills to have as you grow. Finally, this fast-paced activity will keep their attention and help them grow a love for physical activity and time spent outdoors.

Our campus has the perfect setup for the portable courts and students will be able to learn how to play this amazing sport in P.E., at recess, and as a class. Materials included are portable nets, paddles, and pickleballs.

Let's give our students the chance to be active outside, advance their athletic skills, and have fun using teamwork with their peers while learning to love this amazing outdoor activity!
