My students need this classroom rug to have their own seating area. By having a large classroom rug, it will be a great place for our class to meet , talk and learn!

My Students

My students are energetic, thoughtful and full of questions! They love hands-on, active, engaging challenges that allow them to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take chances as they grow personally and academically.

Many of my students were forced to leave their homes last year on boats as Harvey flooded their homes, yet they are still eager to come to school daily to learn!

My students inspire and challenge me every day!

My Project

My students are very inquisitive and having a carpet with designated spaces will allow them to keep their focus on their learning. Having a designated space to meet and practice our skills is critical.

I have a very diverse group of learners and creating a sense of community is very important in my classroom.

Having a designated meeting place will help students build a community feeling.

My students will benefit in other ways from sitting on the carpet. Those students who need a bit more wiggle room are easily accommodated on a carpet. During many lessons there is a time for students to turn and talk with others about the topic. Sitting on the carpet allows for a variety of partners and collaboration within the classroom.
