This year I am excited to be teaching at a new school! I have twenty-two first graders eager to learn new things and become a classroom family. My hope is to create a warm and inviting environment so all of my students feel they belong. In order to achieve this goal, I need a couple of essential pieces.
The magic of first grade happens in the carpet area of the classroom!
Every day we will gather at the carpet for community meeting, read alouds, guided instruction, and student collaboration. The alphabet rug and chart stand will enhance this area and overall experience for us. First grade is a pivotal year of academic and personal growth. It is amazing to see them blossom throughout the year and become independent learners. I appreciate your support in my students' educational experience and in making this a wonderful school year!
