Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What better way to learn about aviation than letting kids fly a kite while having fun outdoors? My students will be able to discuss climate, weather, and wind patterns and how they affect flight. Having this first-hand opportunity to fly a kite will allow my students to personally take notes and observe how well their kite flies based on the weather.

I want to create these fun learning experiences for my students. I want them to feel the thrill of having an object fly and soar through the air and admire the beauty of their kite. I am also requesting cardstock and markers to have my kids make and decorate their own paper airplanes. I'm also requesting a storage organizer to store away the markers.
