My Project

For many of my students, school is a brand new experience full of new friends, new learning experiences and new school opportunities. I can't wait to share these owl pellets with them and watch them devour this learning experience.

Our study of owls always brings so much joy and excitement from the kindergartners, and dissecting our own pellets will be the last, best piece.

These materials will be for my entire grade level so that all the kindergartners will have the feel of being real scientists. Watching them unpack the smelly pellet and discover all the bones inside, realizing what each owl ate makes them feel empowered, smart and successful! This culminating activity means the world to the kids and makes me so thrilled and excited as their teacher! It's the magic of hands on science learning!
