This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 24 amazing Kindergarten students do not have many opportunities to leave their surrounding area. The Let's Find Out magazines and Science Spin will help me to teach them beyond our zip code. We will be able to learn about social studies and science in a more meaningful and concrete way by using magazines weekly in our lessons. This is by far one of the best resources in today's education field!
"Education is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom"-Oprah Winfrey.
As the teacher to these bright and curious kindergarten students, I have the ability and responsibility to open their eyes to the world. The magazines will be used weekly in our science, social studies, and ELD lessons. The best part is that the magazines will go home with them at the end of each week and they will be able to share what they have learned with their families. This is my 5th year requesting this wonderful resource. It has made a world of difference in my classroom and I can't wait to continue to use it and give the world to my students.
