My students need the vital snacks (Veggie snacks, Skinny Popcorn, and animal crackers) which will help the children obtain the vitamins and minerals they need in order to be successful in school.

As a teacher at a low-income/high poverty area, I notice my students are faced with both good and challenging situations. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. All the students at my school want a chance to enhance their learning and reach for the stars.
"It's not about what it is.
It's about what it can become."
Many of them are being raised in foster care, single-parent homes, or with a close relative. The demographics in the areas where they live are not conducive to acceptable learning. When my students walk in my door, I want them to identify their exceptional characteristics, develop positive self-esteem, and feel they are cherished. I want them to know that my classroom is a heartfelt, inspiring, and encouraging environment where creativity is encouraged through self-expression and imagination.
My students want to experience their learning, using hands-on activities. When I provide an atmosphere of involvement, their learning increases tremendously. Your donation will help give us the materials to make great thinkers and learning fun.
These snacks will allow my students to know they are able to have something to fill their bellies while learning at the same time.
These snacks, like Skinny Pop, Veggie Straws, and Animal Crackers will also help the children obtain the vitamins and minerals they need in order to be successful in school.
The students do not have access to enough food at home. 100% of the kids are on free lunch status. There are homeless children at the school. It is hard for the students to concentrate when their stomachs are empty. They need the nutrients in order for them to focus on academics.
Healthy snacks will help the students come to school prepared to learn and gain knowledge.
It is a big challenge for educators to help their children learn when their students say that they are hungry. If the students are lacking food, they will not be willing or able to learn. They need the snacks.
