Help me give my students engaging hands-ons technological experiences during my Math/Science lessons. There are several students that have special needs which will assist them during activities where they may need to investigate other avenues using an IPad.

I work in a rural area where 95% of the population is low income. I have a diverse group of students that consist of 85% African American, 10% Caucasian, 5% other nationalities. They love learning and seem to grasp on quickly to the concepts presented to them during each one of my lessons.
This is my second year teaching 5th grade because I normally teach 6-8 Math but I’m finding this position more rewarding because they seem to have the drive and determination for learning.
My students with special needs will be able to explore other topics that relate to the subject we are investigating using the technological tool (Ipad) available to them at the time. This will give them additional experiences to explore. They can independently work on the given topic to analyze data that may not be available in their textbook or from the current reading. I notice that most of the children today gather/retain information when it is presented through the use of technology. In a previous lessons my students were able explore invasive species and how it’s such a problem in Michigan going on virtual field trips. The students also were able to develop solutions that could prevent invasive species from spreading in Michigan.
