Help me give my students the experience of life outside of Detroit. I want them to know that there are plenty of places to see and this tablet will help them feel motivated and engaged.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. D'Amore's classroom raised $251

My Students
My students come from Detroit and are working hard in the Honors classroom. My students are starting out in tough circumstances. Many of them live in places with minimal structure, and limited resources to help them lay down a foundation for success. In many instances, parents are working and leaving kids at the most important times of the day. In many other circumstances, there is only one parent, and this makes things even harder in guiding, and leading students on the right path. I set very high standards for my students, and they work hard to live up to them. Please help out in any way possible.
My Project
These tablets will help my students learn geography as well as regions of the country. It will also teach them about producers and consumers and be a big part of the Social Studies unit in our room. Once students learn regions, travel ideas and places to visit, it will open up a new vision for them to want to leave Detroit and be eager to move and travel the country whether for pleasure or to live. I know these tablets will enhance their learning and motivate the kids to want to know more about the world in which they live.
