Help me give my students Posca paint pens, brush markers, stencils, pencil stix, red markers and black and white oil pastels to fill supply gaps and try new art materials.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would love for them to have access to some different types of visual art supplies such as Posca paint markers in warm and cool colors, white and various shades of red Sakura markers. They will be able to try new expressive indelible line work. Pencil Stix would bring new dimension to work on dark paper.
My students love trying new art materials and experimenting with them.
Making oil pastel resists is always a wonderful way to tap into our creativity- we also have been learning how to show highlights and shadows to create more form and depth to our work. Stencils would be a fun way to create positive and negative space paintings.
The creative possibilities are endless with these supplies and I’m sure my students would enjoy them.
