This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
When students step into third grade at our school, they know it means hard work. Each and every student is held to the highest standards of not only becoming an effective learner, but also becoming an ethical person in the process. When they achieve their goals, all they can do is smile! Boy, does this third grade class like to smile!
Their excitement and eagerness to take on challenges continually reminds me why I became a teacher in the first place.
I look forward to watching them grow and cannot wait to hear about their amazing futures.
My Project
Virtual learning has been a new experience for our students. We have been fully virtual for a number of months now. It has been exciting but has had its challenges, as well. One of those challenges has been having the appropriate technology to engage all students.
A document camera would provide a way for me to better engage students in virtual instruction.
Right now, I am not able to write on documents so students can see and follow along, nor am I able to show students any documents that aren't digital. This can make learning a challenge from home. This document camera would really help in virtual learning.
