Help me give my students a document camera that will allow them to get immediate feedback to their work as well as provide them with numerous problems difficult to display otherwise.
My students are incredible children who are part of my extended family. In a small town of Pennsylvania, there is a wonderful little rural town. Parents are hard working and try to make the best for their children. These parents work hard to teach their children how to be successfully regardless of what struggles they may face or challenges they may have to overcome. This wonderful town is often overlooked by many.
Many of my parents both work just to make ends meet.
Most parents try extremely hard to provide for their children's needs, but often the extras take second place, which they should.
My Project
I would like to be show my students problems where they will be able to work independently, where I can see their growth, where I will be able to provide immediate feedback to their work. With a document camera, I will be able to utilize this in several ways through my school day. I would be able to have it help in Math when I show a math problem where the students have to solve the word problems independently. In Writing, I will be able to pull writings samples demonstrating ways to improve and ways they were well written. I will be able to explain in better detail with the document being displayed. The best part is I can do all of these anonymously which allows each child an opportunity to feel more at ease if they were to make mistakes.
My students love feedback, especially instant feedback.
Being able to correct or give instant feedback to my students will help to expand their learning abilities.
Using a document camera not only will I be able to address writing, but use hands on manipulatives. This will help me reach even more students by giving them different strategies to help solve problems.
