I have found that children today are so glued to their technology and games. This has led to children not having a lot of tolerance to wait, and need instant gratification.
Going through the Breathe For Change program for teachers allowed me to become a certified yoga teacher and gave me specific skills to work with children and yoga.
Yoga is a great way for children to learn patience, tolerance and not need instant gratification. It also gets them away from technology and allows their minds to be clearer for a day of learning.
My students live in Milwaukee, WI and many have never been exposed to anything like yoga and I want to be able to bring it to my classroom.
