My students need Osmo numbers, a Osmo base, Gravity Maze, and the Roller Coaster Logic Challenge to extend their daily mathematical learning and challenge their brains through abstract problem solving.

My Students
I teach 20 energetic and caring fourth graders who always make my day a little bit brighter! These students will be going on to middle school next year to start fifth grade, so we are working very hard in the classroom to become more independent and in charge of our learning.
We are over 60% free or reduced-price lunch, but as a community, we get everything we need.
Thank you for helping me provide new opportunities for my students and helping them continue to love learning!
My Project
Every day in math we practice facts, mental math, word problems, and then whatever skill our lesson is focusing on. Often times, my book suggests a level in Osmo Numbers that directly relates to the topic we are learning about. The students always ask if we can try the "Level of the Day", but unless I have borrowed the game from a coworker, we are unable to. Getting 2 sets of Osmo Numbers would help to extend each students learning about our daily math lessons, as well as giving students who are struggling more practice in the form of a game and not problems in a workbook.
I believe that abstract problem solving not only challenges students brains, but is a vital skill that students will use the rest of their lives.
Gravity and Roller Coaster Logic would be added to the end of our math block and into our Makerspace time for students to challenge their brains and practice working together as a team. These materials will not only help to engage students in daily learning, but will also present vital skills like teamwork to students in ways that they are excited about.
