Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are fun-loving second graders who adore learning and being in school. They are avid readers and love to read with their friends. They are well-behaved, eager learners who are always excited to discover new things. They are kind, caring, and never miss an opportunity to help one another! My students are happy and energetic, creating a joyful classroom environment. Some come from low-income families with diverse cultural backgrounds and languages. Our classroom is a place where they can have fun while learning.

Despite their varied backgrounds, all my students love performing.

They are eager, creative, open-minded, dedicated, and hardworking dancers/performers who always give their best and are enthusiastic about learning new things.

Our school hosts a Spring Fling showcase every year, where all classes perform. This year, our grade is presenting dances from India. We need costumes for our young dancers, and I would like to acquire skirts and head chains for our performance to help us showcase and honor the culture we are representing.
