This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing Kinder through 2nd graders who have autism! They are beautiful, intelligent and think completely outside of the box! In my classroom, each student's gifts are highlighted, nurtured and encouraged. I want to encourage their social, academic and individual passion by encouraging and providing things that may seem simple to us, but will make a huge difference in their growth potential. Thank you for looking at our classroom project and helping us one student at a time.

My Project

My students are Kinder through 2nd graders with minds that think outside of the box. The most exciting thing about being their teacher is I can help them create outside of the box as well. This project will help us gather simple materials to get creative and provide activity based fine motor therapy to increase their small motor skills.

When students are give the right tools, and activities they love to do, the possibilities are endless!

Getting creative in the classroom utilizes Center Based learning activities that are hands on. The art activities will be at the art center (glue, construction paper, paint, etc. The next center will be a fine motor/sensory table. Students will use engaging activities such as the string beads, to develop strong fine motor skills. Large motor skills skill development will utilize the magnetic blocks. And the last center we will add is our music center. In the music center we will be using the circular cushions for each student to sit on. This will ensure proper spacing to use certain instruments. With each of these centers each student has the ability to get creative in their own ways.
