My students need 2 soprano Glockenspiels to expand the musical timbre within the classroom.

I teach elementary music to children ranging from grades K-5 in a high-need community.

Our school does not have a lot of musical instruments to complete our musical palette. The students are very curious in hearing and understanding each instruments different timbre, especially Orff instruments.

We currently have a bass xylophone and two soprano xylophones. However, there are no glockenspiels at our school and the students have expressed a big interest in playing and hearing what one sounds like. Having two glockenspiels will expand the musical timbre within the classroom and add a special, unique sound to the music. It will also allow for more exploration on the science of vibrations with a metal instrument along with exploring with our imaginations when it comes to making different sounds!
