Let's Create & Play Our Own Board Games!

Help me give my students an opportunity to create engaging and fun board games and learn about marketing and product development.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Zinnerman's classroom raised $380

This project is fully funded

My Project

In my marketing class, we learned about product development. My students will work on a project, creating their own board games. Students will learn about the importance of research and development. This involves brainstorming ideas, conducting market research, and testing their product to ensure it meets the needs and wants of their target audience. Students will learn about the importance of prototyping, which involves creating a physical model of their game to test and refine before releasing it to the public. Additionally, students learn about the importance of branding and packaging, as well as marketing and advertising strategies to promote their products.

Students will create board games to market to their peers and, while doing so learn the importance of collaboration and teamwork in product development marketing.

Creating a board game requires a variety of skills, including design, writing, illustration, and programming, which may require students to work in groups and divide tasks among team members. Students will learn about the importance of communication and problem-solving, as they will likely encounter challenges and setbacks throughout the development process. Students also learn about the importance of incorporating feedback and making changes based on user testing, as this can help improve the overall quality and appeal of their product. Overall, creating a board game provides students with a fun and engaging way to learn about the various aspects of product development and entrepreneurship. The game pieces, cards, boxes, play money, and blank game boards will go into creating their very own board games. Game topics can range from entrepreneurship, simulation games, marketing, financial literacy, college/career planning, math, economics, and more.
