I am a teacher in a pre-K classroom, my children all come from diverse language backgrounds, they are English Language Learners. They are all eager to learn through a hands-on approach.
The students in my classroom will use hands-on learning experiences to gain an understanding of the world around them.
My students are young, yet they have a passion for learning new skills and concepts.
My goal in the classroom is to promote growth socially, emotionally and educationally. I want my students to gain confidence and problem-solving skills as they engage in various learning activities that are intentionally planned throughout the day.
My Project
The arts and crafts supplies will allow my students to have the opportunity to explore their creativity by using their imagination as they create art projects.
Pre-K themes and thematic units will come alive through arts and crafts.
It will give my Pre-K children an opportunity to use various arts and crafts materials as they select what would best make their artwork more interesting. Having the supplies will allow them to make decisions as to what they want to create.
My students will be able to "show off" their creativity and their own interpretation of what we are working on using hands-on materials that they are able to build and create with. Confucius said, "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." I want my students to have an opportunity to CREATE, so they can understand.
