My Project
A classic literature graphic novel library to enjoy reading!
My students love to read and they are learning to read, write and speak English at the same time as learning their grade curriculum for ELA.
I have found that providing students with reading materials from different genres like cooking, encourages students to be more participatory in our class discussions. We often find time to have conversations about what to make for dinner with the few cookbooks I have in my classroom, but I would like a more worldly selection for these curious students. The cookbooks from around the world give students more reading time, understanding, and enthusiasm about our curriculum topics which provides for a more enjoyable and educational experience.
