I am a math teacher in a rural district in Missouri with high levels of poverty. I teach 8th grade math and Algebra I at the middle school level.
I want my students to leave my class thinking math is fun!
I love how my students always show up to class ready to take on whatever lesson I give them. They love branching out and trying new things, and they are very imaginative. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and are excited to learn. I want to give them the tools to be successful doing so.
My Project
This air purifier will help keep my students safe. Since the pandemic has started, our district has been learning in person. I want to protect myself and my students so that we can continue to do what we love and learn in the school building. I teach over 100 students per day and would love to know I am taking every precaution to keep my room a safe place to be. I am not able to open any windows in my classroom, and I feel like this air purifier would be very beneficial for us all.
