Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a public preschool classroom in an urban environment that serves 20 students ages four and five.
My inclusive classroom is filled with diverse learners and English language learners whom all aim to please and strive to do well.
My young students value the diversity that exists in our classroom. I enjoy witnessing their appreciation and respect for one another and watching them build and maintain friendships with one another. I also enjoy the pleasurable and refreshing ways they express themselves and their curiosity and enthusiasm they apply to their daily explorations and discoveries.
My Project
The 4-In-A- Row outdoor game will provide my young students with practice of following rules and how to be good sport while winning or losing. This game is not only fun and entertaining but it can help to develop my students' fine motor skills, improve their basic counting and mathematics skills, strengthen their upper extremities, enhance their visual and perceptual-motor skills, boost their strategic thinking capabilities and improve their cognitive skills. The 4-In-A Row game will really enhance our preschool playground and provide children with another fun way to play together while outside.
