My Students
My students are eager and fun loving learners- especially in our Math classes! They are always very excited to use technology to build their math problem solving skills or to try a new way of learning (even if that new way of learning is dancing to a song about place value) or learning how to code, or build models.
My school has a large number of students who live in poverty and are on free and reduced lunch.
My school is a place where students often feel more safe than anywhere else in their lives. They receive two meals a day, heat, and electricity. Most importantly, my students are surrounded by caring teachers that believe in their abilities. It is very important to me that my students have the same opportunities as their peers.
My Project
I will use these tablets to increase my students’ education. This will happen with the use of the online resources we have available.
As their teacher, my goal is to reach every child and make a positive impact on their education.
These tablets will allow my students to reach their academic goals and enable them to show their creativity when extending their learning beyond the classroom. The tablets will be used to do STEAM projects. My students will build and design models using their science, art and creative skills. My students will also learn how to code within the classroom using their mathematics skills of solving equations.
