My Project

In our Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) general cooking classes, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment is essential for both safety and effective learning. To achieve this, we require a consistent supply of essential cleaning products. Dish soap is a fundamental item, used daily to wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment thoroughly. Without it, bacteria and food residue can build up, posing health risks to students and affecting the quality of instruction.

In addition to dish soap, we also need general cleaning products to disinfect countertops, tables, and cooking stations.

These products help eliminate germs and ensure that our kitchen areas are safe to work in. PowerMop refills are also necessary for maintaining clean floors, which can quickly become sticky or slippery during cooking sessions. Keeping the floors clean helps prevent accidents and supports a hygienic classroom environment.

Other important supplies include sponges and SOS pads. Sponges are used regularly for quick clean-ups and wiping down surfaces, while SOS pads are especially effective for scrubbing stubborn food residues from pots, pans, and stovetops. Having a steady supply of these items ensures that students can clean up properly after each lab, learn responsibility, and practice important life skills. These tools are not just for cleanliness—they are an integral part of the learning process in our FACS program.
