This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Anchor charts are a very important part of my classroom. They provide a visual for students. Using the Post-it charts helps the students to refer to information taught.
My classroom consists of 26 students and they are all sixth graders.
My school is in a very poor part of the city. All students receive free breakfast and free lunch. The students are all very eager and willing to learn and love to experience new things.
My Project
Anchor charts are charts that are left hanging in the classroom to provide visual cues for students. After a skill is taught the teacher usually writes down the information and leaves it hanging the room as a visual aide for students. These Post-it chart papers are a great resource for the students as well as the teacher. They are very expensive to buy and with my small budget I am unable to purchase this paper for my classroom.
These donations that are provided will benefit and improve our classroom because it is very difficult to always purchase these items on my own.
I want my students to benefit from the generosity of the community.
