My 7th graders have worked incredibly hard this year. Last year they took 6th grade math, and this year they are in 7th grade advanced math and take the 8th grade math end of the year assessment. They have to show two years' worth of growth in one school year. This is not an easy task.
My students have dug deep and given their all throughout the school year in preparation for the end of the year assessment.
I want to reward them with a fantastic end of the year party to show how much I appreciate all that they have done this year. Students of all ages love snacks. They especially love chips, candy, and Takis, if you know you know.
My students also appreciate the little things like a pencil with a cool eraser or a pop-it keychain or even a sticker or bookmark. These are little things to most of us, but my students are so happy and downright excited when they get one of these prizes.
