Let’s Calm Down!

Help me give my students ways they can calm themselves when they are heightened and not feeling like themselves. Students having different fidgets or sensory items is such a helpful tool to calm them.

My Project

I work in a program for students that have emotional and behavior disabilities. A lot of time my students get easily heightened and need a safe space to calm down and process. The items in my list, wobble stools, chair bands, floor seats and anxiety stickers will help them calm down and process what they are feeling. It’s very easy for my students to get agitated and it takes them awhile to calm down. Having a safe space like a pull out room is always a good option. Several of the items in my list will go in that pullout room to help calm the students and deescalate. Your donation would be amazing so these kids feel like they have a place that is safe and gives them options for calming down and regulating their emotions and feelings.
