My Project

As a STEAM school, I am trying to come up with outdoor STEAM activities for my students to learn about the seasons, nature and our climate. I would like to focus on temperature and data that aligns with our 5th grade math standards. Since we have the Battle Creek woods in our backyard, I want to incorporate nature and the four seasons as well.

We need calculators, batteries, temperature gauges, books about the seasons and nature, outside window thermometer, and 2 classroom digital clocks that also give us the temperature for our data collection.

All of these materials will also be used for additional lessons through the school year as well.
