My Project

The Scholastic News Magazine subscription that I am asking for will provide weekly individual copies of Scholastic News for all 27 students, as well as an interactive copy for our whole class.

These magazines bring current events into our classroom at a text level that they can understand and make connections with.

We have used these for 16 years and now it is not in our budget to continue this resource for my students. The students that I teach do not have a lot of real life experiences but these magazines offer them to see what is going on and discuss how it relates to us.
