Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are full of wonder about what they will learn in school each day. Our students are from low-income families and receive free or reduced cost breakfast and lunch throughout the year. Many of our students come from a Spanish speaking background or any number of other languages. Imagine coming to a new country and a new school and having no idea what is going on; for many of our students, that is what school is like. These past few years have shown my students a variety of challenges but they still preserve and want to learn!
Our students deserve learning tools that are engaging and rewards that support their motivation in the classroom.
Help me give my students materials such a printer stand, vinyl, and curtain string lights to decorate their classroom and make it a happy place for them. Last year we were fortune enough to receive a Cricut to make beautiful bulletin board letters, t-shirts, and even personalized water bottles! We need new supplies to continue to make our classroom beautiful and so we are able to continue personalizing our things! We used our supplies to make field day shirts, and end of the year shirts! This year we want to make personalized field day shirts again and make other personalized things such as the tumblers requested in this project.
