This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

STEAM is an ever-important educational approach that schools are desperate to incorporate into the curriculum. However, schools are often limited on funds and time to implement activities in the areas of SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART/ARCHITECTURE, and MATH. My school is one of those schools with limited resources for STEAM. I would like to create a STEAM Resource Center located within our school building which would house items such as magnifying glasses, Legos, microscopes, safety glasses, art supplies, and more. There will be a check-out system for teachers to utilize for "borrowing" items for STEAM lesson. Items will be returned when the teacher is finished and made available for another teacher to use.
