Help me give my students interactive games that we can use for peer to peer interaction. Games include Pop Up Pig, Jumpin Jack, Let's Go Fishin, Catch a Letter and Shark Bite.
My students are full of energy and are ready to explore their world. However, my students have a hard time understanding the world around them.
My students are diagnosed on the autism spectrum and are low functioning.
Due to my students' disabilities, they face many obstacles daily, including communicating (two of my students are non-verbal), daily life skills, understanding the world around them, and dealing with why things change.
Our goal, in my classroom, is to help each child overcome their disabilities to become independent in their daily lives. This year, we will work on life skills, academic skills using teaching methods that are individualized for each child, as well as overcoming their behavior challenges.
My Project
Interactive games allow children to learn while they play. Interactive games will help create so many opportunities for my learners including academic skills, fine motor skills, communication skills, but most importantly, social skills. The games will be used during our group work rotation daily to help my students learn how to engage with their peers.
The learning opportunities are endless with interactive games.
Pop The Pig game will allow my students to work on color labeling, counting and turn taking. Shark Bite will allow my students to work on turn taking and eye and hand coordination. Snap and Go Alligators will help my students ask their peers for the missing letter as well as work on letter identification. Catch a Letter will help my students continue to work on letter identification, hand and eye coordination and working with their peer. Catch the Fox will allow my students to work on turn taking and fine motor skills. Jumpin Jack will allow my students to work on turn taking, counting skills and fine motor skills. The best part of these board games are that they are interactive so will keep my student's attention.
