Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One thing I love about my students is their positive attitudes. They have a good outlook on education and genuinely love the joy of learning. When they learn a new skill they want to apply it immediately so you can only imagine the heartbreak I feel when they learn a new rule in phonics but can't find any books they can read to apply it. I have strategically chosen these books to add to my library that my students can read based on the skills we teach them. These books include short vowel sounds, digraphs, glued sounds and sight words that we talk about in class. I can't wait to present these books to my students and see their smiles when they open a book and can apply what they have learned!
