Help me give my students sensory toys so that those with special needs will have tools to help with their social emotional skills and toys that will help them become involved with activities in the classroom.

My Project

Each sensory toy will encourage motor and language skill development for our special needs children and will improve the ability to focus and block out distractions. The calming tent will help minimize exposure to loud noises, for students with autism, who become easily overwhelmed. They will have their own special place to go and calm themselves. My goals for this project is to make sure that our children are provided with the sensory support they need in the classroom. My students are special because they are very curious and full of energy. Each day from the time the children walk into the classroom they are ready to learn something new and take on new and different challenges.
