Students sort the toy fruits, vegetables, and flowers by color, type, size, or seed patterns. This helps them practice classification, counting, and vocabulary (e.g., \"root vegetable,\" \"herb,\" \"petals\").\r\nWe also use them in pretend play to introduce gardening concepts before we move to real planting. Students \"plan\" their gardens by grouping items and deciding what belongs together—just like real gardeners do.\r\nThe students were very excited to receive new materials to use in the classroom. Thanks to your support, our garden project is growing—both literally and academically! Now that students have used the garden sorting toys and planted their flowers, vegetables, and herbs, we're moving into the next exciting phase of our learning. The parents were given instruction sheets on handwriting, number recognition and alphabet recognition. The packets included markers, crayons, pencils, construction paper, glue and scissors.
