Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our carpet gets vacuumed once a week, but is needed daily with a busy classroom. Students have class jobs that rotate throughout the year. The last project for a vacuum fell through, so we were not able to get it, and thus ordered other materials instead.
My goal is for students to feel invested in our class as a whole and to participate in the responsibilities of upkeep.
Life skills are not always taught in the "curriculum" but are as important as academics.
In addition to all of this, we are a dual immersion program where students build their Spanish language skills as they participate in California Standards. Life skills go beyond one pathway and my goal is to pave those routes for them to go above and beyond what they are capable of. Thank you for your support!
