My Students
Do you remember the smell and squishy cool feel of finger paint? Do you remember mixing the colors and watching new colors unfold right before your eyes? Writing your name in your paint? Drawing your family? I want to give these experiences to my Pre-K class!
My students are 4 and 5 years old.
Many need opportunities and encouragement to experiment and get messy! They learn by being involved in hands-on projects and you can't get much more hands on than "elbow deep" in finger paint! Help me give this amazing and simple experience to my students.
My Project
These paints and supplies will be used to introduce students to art, color, shape, texture and the language that comes from sensory rich experiences. My students will learn to create colors, appreciate each others creativity, and explore their own creativity. It will also be used for therapeutic reasons with children with sensory issues or emotional needs.
The simplest ideas often have the most profound effect on young children.
By giving my students these simple tools, the impact is limitless. It will be a first time experience for many of my students and is sure to be the spring board for many other artistic and creative endeavors.
