My Project
I have a very diverse population of students. Despite all their differences, I find that their energy and enthusiasm for science fill the classroom each day. They are super excited to learn about the living environment this year. My school is a Title I school, so a significant number of students come from economically disadvantaged households. I currently teach 8th grade ICT science and 8th grade self-contained.
My most important goal is to remind my students that they can succeed in science.
I try my hardest to create fun and engaging lessons for my students to be successful. Reading in science can be quite difficult with learning new vocabulary and reading articles, especially for students with disabilities.
By having a class set of headphones in the classroom, I can set up small group instruction and stations that will allow students to play videos on the content that is being taught and stream the audio setting on playing the reading for the students. This will create a variety of teach strategies and help my students read for success !
