I am a reading teacher and interventionist in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are exceptional, and I love going to school every day to see the sparkle in my students' eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students love to read, pretend and imagine. They are curious and love to learn! We all participate in learning every day. They love so many fun activities throughout the year, and we hope to add even more. My students are amazing!
My Project
Kids develop essential reading skills at all different ages, and for some students, learning to read can be a real challenge. This is especially true for students who have dyslexia or other reading struggles. It is my goal and my passion to help children who struggle learn to read. Imagine going through all of your elementary years, not knowing what contraction is, how to rhyme or what the Magic e does. There are so many children out there, who, for whatever reason, never got these skills down pat.
Every child wants to learn how to read, and I want to do everything I can to help.
The giant activity dice and word picture cards that I am asking for will help. The giant activity dice include 4 different activity sets including prefixes and suffixes, CVC, word families, and sight words. These are all things that we work on every day, and with every roll of the dice, my students will learn and remember more and more! They will used the jumbo, colored dice to make CVC words, read sight-words, and practice spelling patterns. The word/picture cards will be wonderful to practice vocabulary with. Many students need vocabulary practice so these will be very useful.
Thank you so much for looking at our project. We appreciate any help and support that you can give. These items will last for years to come and will help my student to improve their reading.
