This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected. We are learning skills such as robotics, coding, and typing along with our curriculum. School is a safe and happy place for my students. Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.
My Project
My students get tired of siting in the sam place throughout the day. Having options so they could move to a different location within the classroom would be wonderful! I do not sit in a chair all day long as I teach to them. I do not want them to have to stay in their chair if they choose not too.
Giving kids a special place to sit with cozy chairs that provide flexible seating whenever they need it would be magnificent.
The chairs with the table are cushioned with back supports that adjust to the perfect position. The table is low to the ground allowing them to sit on the ground, with a pillow or with the cozy chair. Having the options for my students to pick will allow them to be comfortable and to concentrate.
