Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 4th grade ICT in a Title I school. My students are hard workers and enjoy learning in a fun and challenging way.

My students are 8 and 9 years old and full of wonder and love coming to school and learning.

Since very few of my students have technology at home, doing research for projects is almost impossible. They really enjoy using our classroom computers for research, enrichment, and assessments, but since we only have 5 computers, it is hard to have each child get on the computer every day. I love to incorporate technology in my instruction and assessment, as it helps to keep my students engaged. The donation of these tablets would really help us!

My Project

My students are very inquisitive 4th graders. They love to be able to research, read and learn on the internet. We recently used the website Kahoot as an assessment and the level of engagement was unlike anything that we had seen so far this year. Since we only have 5 computers in the classroom it is hard for us to incorporate this technology on a daily basis.

These tablets would be incorporated every day to assist with reading, math, and fun and engaging assessments!

There are so many amazing websites and programs out there that are available for our students to enrich and reteach. Please help us reach our potential.
