My students need 14 supplies like construction paper, chart paper, bulletin board paper, borders and sentence strips to be able to display their completed work properly and with pride.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first year third grade teacher working in an inner city public school. My classroom is an inclusive classroom, serving regular education students, mentally gifted students, special education students as well English language learners. This diversity really works in making our class a community of learners and teachers.
My students, no matter what level they are, love to display their work. Whether it is a writing assignment, a research project, math problems, or art work, they are excited to and proud to see their work displayed for all to see. Unfortunately, due to lack of supplies, our classroom does not have the supplies nor the decor to allow me to display my students' work properly. We lack brightly colored papers (that are not faded or dusty), and a variety of borders that match our vast variety of works produced.
My students and I need bulletin board paper in bright colors to spice up our room. They also need a variety borders, for different subjects, to decorate our bulletin boards. In addition they would love to have colorful sentence strips and construction paper to be able to create beautiful work to be displayed for all to see.
Your thoughtfulness and generosity will make it possible for my students to display their work with pride. I can not wait to see the look on their faces when they see all of the new and beautiful colors we will have in our room, with your help. Thank you for considering my students and their needs.
