My Students

Do you remember what it was like when you got to explore with paint and get really messy? Well, a lot of my students have never had this experience. Let's give them a chance!

There are 14 students in my self-contained classroom.

The students age range is from 5-7 years old. They academically function between the ages of 2-6 years. They are very sweet, kind, affectionate and very loving. The students have many needs: speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy and social/emotional problems.

My Project

A lot of these students have never painted before. Just having the experience to paint is exciting. The students will have a chance to explore and experiment with paints. Holding a paint brush correctly and painting will help develop their fine motor skills in a creative way. Also, the students will learn how to draw and paint pictures.

Learning through creativity is my belief.

I believe children learn best when engaged in hands-on activities. The students will be so excited to have these materials. They will have a great time being able to explore and get messy with paint.
